Job Description
Summary We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Teacher that is bilingual, English/Spanish. The ideal candidate must have experience working with children in a classroom, with a focus on preschool, toddler care, and infant care.

The Teacher's responsibilities are as follows:
- create an age appropriate lesson plan, in English and Spanish, based off the themed curriculum and early learning standards,
- Must be able to teach and manage the day-to-day activities of the classroom in English and Spanish,
- interact with the children at all times,
- provide a safe and nurturing environment for children,
- attend to the basic needs of the children,
- communicate professionally with the parents.
Duties The Teacher must be able to:
- plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth,
- provide a variety of educational techniques to teach children in a creative manner,
- maintain an organized classroom in order to provide a safe environment for children,
- maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences,
- ensure all center policies and state regulations are met,
- maintain a healthy classroom environment ? including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children,
- supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene and safety standards,
- maintain accurate records, forms and files,
- maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements The ideal candidate must:
- have a minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience in a licensed childcare facility, with a focus on preschool, toddler/infant care,
- have strong oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- have basic computer skills,
- be high energy and have the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment,
- have a strong understanding of child development,
- have Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification,
- be able to clear full background check and must pass health screening,
- have a High School Diploma or equivalent,
- have the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl,
- have excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
