Position Overview:

The Global Immigration and Mobility Attorney position at Klasko Immigration Law Partners, LLP is a pivotal role that provides comprehensive legal guidance and support to our clients regarding their Global Immigration and Mobility matters. We are seeking a highly motivated and self-starting Global Immigration and Mobility Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role is ideal for an experienced legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and is passionate about managing multinational accounts and navigating complex immigration and mobility landscapes.

As a strategic partner to our global clients, you will drive legal strategies, oversee compliance programs, and coordinate with local counsel and on-the-ground immigration experts. Your role will be central in enabling talent mobility while ensuring adherence to international immigration frameworks and best practices. This role requires flexibility to accommodate global clients’ needs and a strong understanding of various relocation, global mobility, and immigration processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of multinational client accounts with a focus on cross-border immigration, mobility, and compliance.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, developing tailored immigration strategies aligned with their global mobility objectives.
  • Partner with in-country immigration counsel and local experts to deliver coordinated, compliant, and efficient immigration solutions.
  • Monitor global immigration developments, trends, and regulatory changes; provide proactive guidance and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Design, implement, and optimize immigration compliance programs and internal policies.
  • Draft and review immigration-related legal documentation, including petitions, applications, legal opinions, and compliance communications.
  • Provide training and strategic support to internal stakeholders and client teams on immigration best practices.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand service offerings within existing and prospective client accounts.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or international equivalent and admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
  • 5+ years of experience in immigration law, preferably with a strong emphasis on corporate/global mobility matters.
  • Proven ability to manage complex multinational accounts and interact with high-level stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of global immigration systems and legal frameworks (e.g., US, EU, APAC, LATAM preferred).
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Comfortable working autonomously as well as collaboratively in a global, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a law firm, corporate legal department, or global mobility consultancy.
  • Multilingual abilities or significant international experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with global mobility software and immigration compliance platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes
  • Understanding of international taxation and US immigration is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and pay attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Mathematical abilities to perform moderately complex calculations
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization
  • Ability to exercise and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
