Job Description

Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour.

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00 pm and 11:59 pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00 am and 4:59 am)

1. Contribute to, assist, and relieve the Ranch Manager to oversee all ranch activities and functions related to fryer ranch operations.
2. Assist the manager in directing the grow-out program of fryers, including setup, brooding, temperature control, ventilation, mortality management, vaccinations, and medications, ensuring optimal conditions for quality and productivity.
3. Assist in maintaining ranch facilities and equipment for optimal usage and appearance, coordinating with maintenance for materials and service calls. Enforce strict sanitation and disease prevention procedures, monitor bird health, report abnormalities, and respond responsibly to emergencies affecting the chickens.
4. Assist the Ranch Manager in managing and controlling all ranch production costs, including labor, fuel, supplies, utilities, medications, and maintenance.
5. Help maintain accurate records related to ranch activities such as feed, mortality, fuel, production, and energy consumption.
6. Assist in providing proper training and delegation of duties to ranch personnel.
7. Adhere to and enforce company safety, animal welfare, and disease prevention guidelines.
8. Maintain awareness of industrial safety and report issues directly to the Field Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the Chicken Grow Out Training Program.
• Preferably, poultry raising experience.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Possess supervisory and leadership skills.
• Good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills (Basic English).
• Ability to move and lift 50 pounds.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Willing to respond to alarms and adverse conditions affecting the chickens.
• Availability to work as scheduled, including overtime, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to follow and enforce company standards, guidelines, and policies on the ranch.
• Flexibility to work at other ranches or complexes as needed.
