About UC Blue Ash The Advising Center within the University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College (UCBA) invites applications for an Academic Advisor. The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio. The college is located on 135 acres in a park-like setting. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs, as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 5,100 students. Job Overview This position reports to leadership within the UCBA Advising Center and will primarily support students across Science and transition oriented Allied Health programs using a student-centered academic advising approach. The role of the advisor includes managing a student caseload and monitoring degree audits and academic plans for accuracy and readiness for graduation. Other duties include orienting new students, participating in retention efforts, and working with UCBA faculty and staff to maintain consistent academic program information. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with the option of up to two (2) remote working days per week upon completion of the training period. Residence must be within the Cincinnati Tri-State area (OH/IN/KY) with reasonable distance to campus to have the ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. This position is a full-time staff position. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
