Location: Syracuse, New York (SYR) Job Type: Part-Time Opportunities Available Pay Rate: $31 – $38 per hour (based on experience and training) Overview STS Line Maintenance is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to support our growing line maintenance station at Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR). In this role, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the airworthiness and reliability of commercial and regional aircraft, working in a fast-paced, high-quality maintenance environment. STS Line Maintenance is one of the largest line maintenance providers in the U.S., known for rapid-response aviation maintenance solutions across an extensive global network. Job Responsibilities Work directly with Station Managers, Lead Technicians, airline partners, flight crews, and maintenance controllers. Perform inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications on Airbus A320, CRJ, and Embraer 170 aircraft. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices. Use hand tools and precision instruments to adjust, repair, or replace defective components. Maintain the highest level of quality, integrity, and safety standards. Read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks, and technical documentation. Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required. Qualifications & Requirements FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification with no infractions. Recent A&P experience with turbine-powered aircraft preferred. Experience with commercial and large regional aircraft is a plus. Must own standard line maintenance tools (calibrated & specialty tooling provided). Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and schematics. Experience working in an FAA Part 145 repair station or Part 135 operation preferred. Inspection Authorization (IA) license is a plus. Ability to work standing, climb ladders/stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Must pass a background check, drug & alcohol test, and obtain U.S. Customs & Border Patrol clearance. Flexibility in scheduling—shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong work ethic, customer service mindset, and commitment to quality and safety.
